100 days

Can you even believe that my "baby" has been in kindergarten for 100+ days already? we can't. He has grown so much since that day back in august both physically (going through 2 pairs of shoes and all of his pants and shirts being too short) and socially. We have seen this little boy grow up into writing in his journal and doing math problems to going on field trips to the Peace Center for shows. HE LOVES it!


One of the best things for me is that his teacher is so supportive of her parents. She gives us weekly newsletters about the past week and the upcoming weeks work and theme. She keeps us posted with tons of pictures of everything they do on a daily basis. J and I were very hesitant about starting W as a young 5yr old. many of his classmates have already turned 6 ..and that really was a concern for us. After consulting with some elementary teachers and childcare experts we felt that he would be just fine. It was an adjustment period of a few months with him. Socially he has adjusted and physically (sitting still :)) Grateful for the pics that his teachers provide on their website here is a look into some of my favs over the past 100 days

Hat day during "red ribbon" week -Say NO to DRUGS this was interesting to explain to him the concept of "DRUGS".


Eating "Stone Soup" each student brought in an ingredient to share. W's response " I liked it but I took out the soggy tomatoes"

When asked to disguise his snowman of course he made his into YODA. Notice the green lightsaber and cane! Each student had to describe his snowman to the class using thier descriptive words and let them guess which one it was hanging on the wall

100th day BLUE ribbon project! William has taken a new fasination with baseball cards. He wants to know who they are, where they played in College or HS and what position they play. I guess this is how it all starts. Glad Daddy has soooooooooooooo many cards to share!

Winter day activity with ICE. W was asked how you can melt ice. " Blow on it"

As you can see we are very excited about all the things he is doing and learning. Most of all we are so grateful for 2 wonderful teachers that we prayed and prayed for and do every night. Guess we better start praying for an awesome 1st grade teacher team it will be here before we know it.
